The Challenge
Printtipiste is a Finnish B2B print and branded textile company serving corporate clients across Scandinavia. With over 500 SKUs across print, embroidery, and promotional merchandise, their existing site was a basic WooCommerce installation that couldn't handle the complexity of their product configurator requirements. Corporate buyers needed to specify print methods, quantities, colours, and file uploads — a process that was being handled entirely by email and phone, creating a bottleneck that limited order volume and frustrated clients. The catalogue was also completely invisible to search engines.
Our Approach
B2B e-commerce has fundamentally different requirements from B2C — buyers are often purchasing on behalf of a company, need quote approval workflows, and want to reorder previous configurations quickly. We designed the entire experience around the corporate buyer persona: a procurement manager who needs to get the right product, at the right spec, with a clear price, without back-and-forth. The product configurator was the centrepiece of the project and required three weeks of UX design before development began.
What We Delivered
We built a full WooCommerce store with a custom product configurator that handled print method selection, quantity-based pricing tiers, colour and size matrices, and artwork file upload with format validation. A quote cart allowed buyers to build a full order and request a formal quote before committing. Registered business accounts could access order history, reorder previous configurations in one click, and manage multiple delivery addresses. We also built a comprehensive SEO content structure targeting Finnish and Swedish B2B print queries.
